I haven’t died or fallen off the face of the earth! I’ve just been crazy busy! I apologize for the long absence. I will try and be more informative as the competition comes to a close.

10 days! Can you believe it? I sure can’t!!

That means I REALLY need to get everything straight for my freestyle routine and trip!

Renaissance has been doing so well.

We were in the Daily Sentinel a couple Sundays ago and we demonstrated what we’ve been doing at the Friends of the Mustangs Open House.

For the most part, we are focusing on our freestyle routine and getting things as smooth as possible before we head to Nebraska.

As much as I’m sad to have to part with him, I think I’m going to be relieved when the competition is over so I can really¬†focus on selling my Thoroughbred and applying for colleges!

Along with the competition, there is also a stall decorating contest which I’ve decided to go along with the “Renaissance” theme and decorate it as a castle! It’ll be great!

I’m super excited to finally meet in person the friends I have made throughout this competition. We’ve set up a pool party at one of the hotels and I can’t wait to be able to see them all.

Tip of the Day:

This isn’t exactly horse related but it’s what has been front line in my life lately so I find it necessary to pass it on!

There are some things in life that you will never be able to control! What you can control is how you choose to handle it! Due to the fact that we have every day relations with other people, we are constantly dealing with unpredictable beings. We can’t effect others’ choices so be prepared to shake things off and keep going.

Horses are much the same. You can’t always forsee or control the situations that occur with horses. But you can prepare yourself to handle the situation in an effective manner.

We live in an unpredictable world so prepare yourself to remain strong in every situation!

Have fun. Be smart. Be safe!
